FAQ
Authenticity and Brand Protection
Fake products on the market are a real issue. Buying directly from us or one of our authorised retailers is the best way to make sure you have an authentic item.
Counterfeiters go to great lengths to make their products look genuine. They try to mimic the design of our products and packaging. They may even copy compliance markings and safety instructions without meeting the standards and certificates these are used for. A counterfeit item has not been tested for quality assurance and safety by Marshall.
If you suspect you have purchased a counterfeit, we recommend you return the product where you bought it and buy a new one from us, or one of our authorised retailers.
At Marshall, we take pride in our high-quality products, safety and overall listening experience. For this reason, we take counterfeiting seriously, and we are continuously defending our intellectual property rights and interests.
Our anti-counterfeiting work includes working with local authorities, law enforcements and other legal professionals worldwide to enforce our rights against counterfeit manufacturers, suppliers, wholesalers, and retailers. We are constantly monitoring the internet for websites, e-commerce marketplaces, and social networks selling fake goods.
Marshall is successfully taking down illegal websites, marketplace listings and social network pages due to intellectual property rights infringements. We also work directly with the major e-commerce marketplaces in removing counterfeit goods from their sites.
QR-labels
From 2026, Marshall is introducing a new QR code-based verification system. If your product packaging includes a QR code, you can scan it with your smartphone to access product information and, if you want to, register your product.
QR codes will be introduced gradually. The absence of a QR code does not in itself indicate that the product is not genuine. If your product does not have a QR code, please refer to the above information about genuine sales channels. For more information about how the QR code system works, please refer to this guide.
As with any security feature, unfortunately QR codes may also be subject to unauthorised copying. The QR code is intended as one element in our broader anti-counterfeiting endeavours. We encourage you to make sure that the product and its packaging appear consistent with Marshall’s quality standards, and that the information you access through the QR label is accurate.
A genuine Marshall QR code will direct you to authenticity.marshall.com and not to any other website.
