Since opening its doors in 2016, Supersonic has established itself as one of Paris' leading destinations for rock and alternative music. Located in the Bastille district, the independent venue has built a loyal community by doing something refreshingly simple. It offers three free concerts every night, seven days a week, giving music fans the chance to discover both up-and-coming artists and established international acts.
With more than 1,000 bands performing each year, Supersonic has become an important platform for indie rock, punk, garage, post-rock, synthwave, psychedelic music and pop. Its personal layout, complete with a mezzanine overlooking the stage, creates a close connection between artists and audiences, making every performance feel personal. Beyond its daily live programme, Supersonic has become a cultural hub through its Sunday Tribute nights, festivals, aftershows and Supersonic Records, a second live space on the same street. Together, these events have helped strengthen Paris' independent music scene while keeping live music open and accessible to everyone.
Marshall has partnered with Supersonic since 2024, supporting the venue through financial investment, material support and collaborative live events. Together, we host Marshall Sonic Nights three times a year, creating opportunities for Marshall Records artists, including Gen and The Degenerates, Dream Nails, King Nun, and Knives, to perform at one of the city's most respected independent venues. The partnership also extends to Supersonic's Block Party and They're Gonna Be Big festivals, where Marshall helps bring the events to life through audience activations, technical equipment support and contributions towards communication costs. Activities, including treasure hunts around the Bastille area and pre-show blind tests, help create memorable experiences for music fans while celebrating the local community surrounding the venue. Through supporting these events, Marshall helps Supersonic continue its mission of making live music accessible. The partnership helps keep festival ticket prices affordable.
It also creates valuable opportunities for emerging artists. The partnership gives Marshall Records artists the chance to perform in front of highly engaged audiences at one of France's most respected independent music venues. Together, Marshall and Supersonic are helping ensure that grassroots music continues to thrive in Paris. By supporting independent venues, creating opportunities for new artists and making live music more accessible, the partnership is helping keep the city's alternative music culture alive for the next generation.
