Connecting an instrument
Short answer
Plug in your instrument and switch the input to INST. Turn up the instrument’s volume, and then carefully raise the input volume.
Input channels
Bromley 750 has two input channels for microphones or mono instruments, that can be mixed with any other selected input and use the built-in effects. The two combo jacks support XLR or ¼-inch TRS cables and are located on the back of the speaker, behind a hatch.
How to connect an instrument
Plug your instrument into INPUT 1 or INPUT 2, using the combo jacks on the back of the speaker.
Switch the input for your channel to INST.
Set the input volume to 1 on the front panel of the speaker.
Raise your instrument’s volume to about 50%.
Play at your normal loudest level (strum the guitar hard or hit the keyboard strongly) while carefully raising the input volume. The red clip light should flicker only at peak levels. If the red clip light is solid red, turn the input volume down.
Understanding the red clip light
The red clip light helps you set the correct input volume:
No light: The input volume is set correctly.
Flickering red: If the light flickers briefly when you play loudly, the input volume is set correctly.
Solid red: The input volume is too high.
