Troubleshooting : Alexa is not responding
Short answer
Push and hold the microphone button for 3 seconds to turn the speaker microphone on.
If Alexa is not responding to your voice commands, the likely cause is that the microphone is muted on the speaker. Follow these steps to turn on the microphone:
Push and hold the microphone button on top of the speaker for 3 seconds.
The LED indicator by the microphone button will change from red to off when the microphone is on.
